When I met Mr. Kim Man Ho at Inchoen airport, Korea. He touched his hand to sardinella box which I brought in my luggage and he had the question: “What fish is this?” I answered: “This is Herring”. He continueously asked many times, what sardinella is it? Herring called other name is sardinella. He still don’t understand what I say, I explained all during along road about 30 km from Inchoen to Seoul. His company located Sasangdong, Kangnam, Seoul. That is the sample products which I gave for a partner in Bussan, named Mr. Hwang.
I want to talk about Mr. Kim more. He is a Big Buyer of De Khang Phu Thanh which I has built since 2003 when I visited the Korea in the first time at 07/2005. I exported anchovy with size 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 to Mr. Kim with 18-19 cont 20, the same 110 ton goods.

In my heart for now. I thank for Mr. Kim Man Ho very much. He is a big partner not only in my company but also in my large family. We had many memorial pictures in Korea and Vietnam. He not only is a giant client but also a special friend of myself and my family. He supported about everything such as: money, advisory for me studying MBA, he also instructed financial business advisory. Although his old and I has no the same because he is the same age with my mother (he was born in 1946 while I was born in 1975).
Returning the herring, some of companies in Nha Trang have exported in Korea and we advertised Vietnam’s herring by many new ways, stronger but have no quietly as anchovy. When we return in airport, he talk to his wife. She is a lecturer who teached piano and violon retiring for helping him in many dry fishes business. He said to me:” Korean called herring is Depori” in Seoul or Pandege in Seoul. He decided I have to try my best in 1*20’FLC, and then I have exported him 7-8 cont of sardinella in count of 34 cont 40’ in 2005.
With his agreement made me feel really a bit confused because he has paid everything and it is only unique in Seoul and many around areas in Seoul such as: Geyoung-Gi, Quang- Du, Kang-Ung, An-Hueng... that means I don’t have any rights in selling with other clients and they go the other companies buying in competition in Vietnam’ s market.
However, our career has also become smoothly in the end of 2005 and the first year of 2006 expressed by going up my graph every month. I started my strategy in buying land and building the factory in Binh Thang ward in 2006. In my writing, I really thank for Mr. Kim’s family very much.
Continuously about herring, the fisherman in the central marine region of vietnam from Quang Nam to Lagi (Ham Tan- Binh Thuan) and Long Hai, Phuoc Hai of Ba Ria- Vung Tau often called the common sardinella small size 3-5, 5-7 is baby herring. When they are bigger with size 7-9, 9-11, 11-13, 13-15 named sardinella or called Big Eye Herring. This fish is different to Red Big Eye. From size 5-7 to 9-11 doing dry fish, all fish. Many freeze companies often buy fresh herring from size 11 over.
Most of the marine region in Vietnam from Cua Lo(Nghe An Province) to Ba Hon( Kien Giang Province) catched the sadirnella, they have their used target and the fresh herring storage also differrent in everywhere.
The herring from in Quang Nam to Nghe An almost are living fish because the fishermen here (before 2007) don’t make freeze fish after they catched them (this strorage is wrong so herring usually has yellow and fresh), and this products are not good. Now (05/2009) some of cooked store in Quang Nam: Thang Binh Dist has built so they know how to cook the herring and selling in some of companies in Quang Ngai. Maybe, natural characteristics in marine near Quang Nam to Nghe An is shallow coastal and mud. This has affected to living environment of sardinella. So, fish quality is not as good as the central south.
